EVICTIONS
SERVICE The Evictions Division works directly with the property owner, or their representative, to schedule each
eviction. These evictions include apartments, single-family dwellings and mobile homes, which are often
required by law to be removed from the lot on which they are located. This team conducted over 3,400
evictions and final notices in 2020, at the direction of the court. As of June 2020, with the addition of a
compliance officer, 123 eviction rechecks were performed to verify appropriate removal of any junk and
debris from evictions involving setouts. Several moratoriums were put in place by the Marshal’s office, the
CDC and the Federal Government limiting the ability to carry out court-ordered evictions.
The Service Division is tasked with the complete and accurate service of civil
process primarily from the Civil and Magistrate Court, also known as small
claims court. The Service Division is responsible for serving various lawsuits, ENFORCEMENT
