GOODWIN

Officer Michael Goodwin served in the Marshal’s
IN Office from March of 2011 until June of 2020. He

was the original Control Room Operator for the
New Augusta Judicial Center when it opened in
MEMORIAM 2011. Officer Goodwin eventually worked his way

to being the primary Fingerprint Technician for
the Security Division. He loved this position
because it gave him an opportunity to briefly get
to know a diverse group of citizens and soldiers
that live and serve in the Augusta Community
every day. He genuinely loved his family, his
coworkers and his Clemson Tigers. Officer
2020 Goodwin’s laughter will continue to resonate

through the halls of the courthouse, and he is
missed by us all.
