FROM THE MARSHAL

                    TO THE CITIZENS

                    Dear Citizens of Richmond County,

Once again, I want to thank all of the citizens of Augusta-Richmond County for the honor and privilege of serving as your Marshal. It
is our mission to use this Office to serve our citizens and ensure a cleaner and safer Augusta-Richmond County. 2023 was a year of
new initiatives, emphasizing training and staff development as well as our focus on building upon our culture of teamwork.

Creating and building our organization’s “we” culture involves fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where teamwork
and collective success are prioritized. The culture of “we” is our organizational mantra that emphasizes unity, collaboration, and a
shared sense of purpose among all members. A “we” culture values each individual’s contributions. Cultivating this culture brings
improved team cohesion, higher employee engagement, increased creativity, and better problem-solving due to diverse perspectives.
Cultivating our “we” culture emphasizes the importance of continually assessing and improving all of our activities.

Our organizational culture empowers our employees by trusting them with responsibilities and autonomy, which is essential for
the agency to thrive. Fostering our current continual learning and growth culture encourages innovation and adaptability within
our community. Building our “we” culture is not a one-time effort. It requires ongoing commitment and dedication from all the
Richmond County Marshal’s Office employees. Our leaders play a crucial role in championing our culture by setting the tone, leading
by example, and creating an environment that nurtures collaboration and diverse opinions.

I want to thank all of the men and women of the Richmond County Marshal’s Office for their hard work and dedication to our Office
and the citizens we serve. I am so proud of our team and the work they do every day to help Augusta-Richmond County reach
its fullest potential and strive to become cleaner and safer. I am truly humbled and honored to lead this fine group of dedicated
professionals who believe strongly in what we do and care so much about our community. Leading this group of consummate
professionals daily is a blessing I don’t take for granted. I thank all of you for allowing me to serve you as Marshal as we continue to
build, cultivate, and nurture our culture of “we.”
