SAMMIE DOOLITTLE
Deputy Sammy Doolittle retired from a 32-year career in law enforcement where he found himself
serving the citizens of both Columbia and Richmond County while employed with each of the two
respective Sheriff’s Office’s. In 2015, Deputy Doolittle began his tenure with the Marshal’s Office
as a Deputy Marshal in our Service Division. He also served as one of the agencies Field Training
Officer’s (FTO) where he trained many of the officers still serving today. He never met a challenge
he was not willing to pour his heart into. As he served civil process for the agency, he did so
with courtesy and professionalism when dealing with the citizens of Richmond County. Deputy
Doolittle could often be found doing his best to keep everyone laughing and trying to encourage
them to be their best. His time with this agency was nothing short of admirable, and it is for
these attributes Deputy Doolittle brought to our agency, we would like to wish him success and
happiness as he transitions to retirement.
MARK ADAMS
Mark Adams started his career with the Marshal’s Office after retiring from MCG with thirty four
(34) years of service where he was employed as a System Analyst. Mark was able to bring that
knowledge to the Marshal’s Office in 2002 where he began serving as a Security Officer in our Court
Services Division. Mark served in that capacity until he transferred to our Operations Division,
where he was in charge of inputting civil process into our system for deputies to serve as well as
adding the returns after service was complete. Mark also fielded phone calls and responded to the
public’s inquiries when they came to the Marshal’s Office Substation with questions. Mark was
great at what he did for this agency and will be missed. We wish you the best in your retirement.
