City Serve Augusta Recognized as 2025 Clean 13 Honoree

In 2025, City Serve Augusta was recognized as a Clean 13 honoree by the Georgia Water Coalition
for its leadership in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts and its commitment to protecting the Savannah
River.

The Clean 13 Report highlights outstanding individuals, organizations, and local governments across
Georgia that are making measurable impacts in safeguarding the state’s water resources.

Following Hurricane Helene, volunteers mobilized across Augusta–Richmond County to assist with
debris cleanup, recovery coordination, and environmental stewardship initiatives designed to protect
local waterways from additional harm. These efforts supported both immediate community recovery
and long-term protection of water quality.

This statewide recognition reflects Augusta’s resilience, the strength of its volunteer network, and the
City’s continued commitment to environmental responsibility and collaborative action that benefits
current residents and future generations.
