Digital transformation is the
integration of modern digital
technology into all areas of
the government, fundamen-
tally changing how we oper-
ate and deliver value to our
customers. It requires shifting
culture, updating business
models, and continuously de-
ploying cloud, AI, and auto-
mation tools to improve ef -
ciency and customer experi-
ence.

More broadly, data analytics
can enable departments to
flag operating issues, predict
future usage patterns for
public infrastructure, and plan
for equipment replacement
more proactively. IT will con-
tinue to support Augusta de-
partments in exploring how to
most effectively bring about
digital transformation.
